Please note this advertising promo is still available.
I mentioned on the podcast that I am going to start seeking advertisers on the show. We are doing very well now and have gotten a lot of new followers (in part due to some fantastic interviews, of which there are still more planned). I’ve been checking our download numbers and they’re at a point where I can now justify the cost to potential advertisers.
That being said, as part of an interesting promotion right now (due to my love of Star Trek Online), I’m prepared to give a month’s worth of advertise at the low, low cost of a Borg Bridge Officer pre-order code. Allow me to explain…
As mentioned during the podcast, Joe and I have pre-ordered Star Trek Online from Gamestop, thereby securing ourselves a Starfleet Constitution Class ship (with, as also mentioned in the podcast, blue phaser lasers pewpew).
Various retailers will be offering different pre-order bonuses for Star Trek Online (fiendish, I know). I am particularly interested with the Borg Bridge Officer which you receive when you pre-order from Amazon.com. And when I say “particularly interested”, that is a gross understatement.
I want it so hard.
What I am offering is one month’s advertising for that pre-order code. The game is currently priced at a mere $46.99, which makes for one hell of a bargain folks. I will advertise your website, your business, your personal blog, your girlfriend or boyfriend or dog’s name, whatever. As long as you aren’t asking me to advertise anything illegal (or highly immoral), we’re good to go.
Wondering how you can sign up for this? There are two ways.
First option:
Pre-order from Amazon.com and send me an email at forthelore (at) gmail (dot) com. Give me the details of that which you’d like advertised. The game will release on February 2nd. The certificate for the Borg Bridge Officer will be in the package that you receive. Upon receiving it, you would email it to me. I would then apply the code to my account, and once verified that it has not been used, we’d start with the four weeks of advertising.
This option allows you to keep the actual game, and play it or do with it as you please. All that I would receive would be the Borg Bridge Officer code.
Second option:
You email forthelore (at) gmail (dot) com and indicate your interest in this promotion. You state that you would rather not wait till February and don’t really care about owning Star Trek Online. I send you a bill through PayPal for $50.00 (to cover the cost of shipping to Canada). Upon receiving the payment, advertising would start with the very next podcast episode. I would use the money to purchase the game and so not have to wait in order to verify the validity of the code. This copy of the game would belong to me, to do with as I please (thinking either my son, or Rick).
Advertising would continue for a full four weeks, and as a bonus, I would also give you a bonus week of advertising during the week of the game’s release in February (if you are interested).
This is a fantastic, inexpensive offer. In the words of late night jewelry salesmen; “Act now!” This offer is limited and I reserve the right to refuse anyone.
